Therefore we have decided to go a step further and make a positive contribution by involving our customers in the process so that we can raise awareness and reforest the planet together!
WHY WE PLANT TREES?
Deforestation is one of the main contributors to climate change. It comes in many forms: wildfire, agricultural clear cutting, livestock ranching and logging for timber among others. Forests cover 31% of the land area on Earth and annually 75,700 square kilometres (18.7 million acres) of forest is lost. Mass deforestation continues to threaten tropical forests, their biodiversity and the ecosystem services they provide.
Trees play a key role in our ecosystems, and cutting them has devastating effects. Deforestation not only affects our flora and fauna, but it also affects humans alike. Pollution, species extinctions, floods, desertification, food shortage, poverty and migrations are the problems that deforestation brings along. Fortunately, we can change this.

To make this happen, we have partnered up with
Tree-Nation, an organisation dedicated to fighting climate change,
focused on reforesting and the reduction of the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth.
Tree-Nation is a home to 279 planting projects from 33 different countries. In every project, the species are carefully selected according to the specific benefits they bring for the environment and to the local population. Each tree planted on the Tree-Nation platform is assigned its own unique URL, which means the species, the location, the plantation project information and the CO2 compensation values can be tracked throughout the lifetime of the tree.

When you place an order on our website you will first receive a confirmation email from us with details of your order. A little later you will receive a separate email from Tree-Nation with the title "ROUTE 67 CLOTHING offered you a tree on Tree-Nation" – should you not receive this in your inbox within one hour, please check your spam filter or under promotions etc. Please open this email to get to the Tree-Nation webpage where you can now virtually plant your own tree in the
ROUTE 67 CLOTHING forest.
Every time you make a purchase, a tree will be planted in your name!
